Meet Our Doctors


Dr. Locher Bray

Dr. Bray graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1979. He established the large animal practice of the Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic in 1981 and added the companion animal practice in 1989. He lives in Taylorsville with his wife, Leah, and his Labrador Retriever, Sawyer. Dr. Bray is the Food Animal Practice representative to the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association Board.


Dr. Bill Graves

Dr. Graves graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. He joined Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic after graduation and is a partner. He is active in the Carroll County 4-H and loves the Baltimore Ravens.

    



Dr. Megan Bray

Dr. Bray received a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in 2008. She then attended Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech where she received her DVM in May of 2012. She currently works full-time in the small animal clinic.  Dr. Bray resides in Westminster with her husband Tyler Bray, their son James, their dog Scampy, and two cats Charlie and Scotch.  She enjoys Hokie sports, cooking, and any other outdoor activity in her free time.


Dr. Shane Martin

Dr. Martin graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in May of 2012.  Dr. Martin practices production Veterinary medicine and travels to farms to work with large animals, including cattle and pigs.

     


Dr. Tyler Bray   

Dr. Bray received his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in 2009.  He then attended Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech where he received his DVM in May of 2013.  Dr. Bray practices production Veterinary medicine and travels to farms to work with large animals, including cattle and pigs,  He resides in Westminster with his wife, Megan, their son James, their dog Scampy and two cats Scotch and Charlie.  Dr. Bray enjoys watching Virginia Tech sports and loves the Redskins and Orioles.

      


Dr. Aaron Lucas

Dr. Lucas completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Virginia Tech in 2004. Following graduation, he enrolled in the joint DVM/PhD program at the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Lucas completed the required coursework earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2010 as valedictorian. During this time he also conducted research focused on cattle parasites to earn his PhD in Clinical Parasitology in 2011. Dr. Lucas joined Taylorsville Veterinary Clinic in July 2015 where he practices both production and small animal Veterinary medicine. Dr. Lucas currently resides in Sykesville with his wife Erin and their three energetic Border Collies. He enjoys Virginia Tech athletics, classic country music, golfing and the outdoors. 


Dr. Lauren Peterson

Dr. Peterson graduated with degrees in biology and chemistry from Towson University, then completed her veterinary degree at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Peterson enjoys lameness, sports medicine and feline medicine . She has 16 chickens, 2 turkeys, 3 fish, 3 horses, 2 cats and a dog. In her free time Dr. Peterson enjoys breeding warmbloods and home improvement projects.
